Since 2007, I have been working as a freelance editor and writer. I started out at Penguin Books in both editorial and marketing roles. Before that, I was a legal editor at QuickLaw in Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English (Honours) from the University of Ottawa, and a Master of Publishing from Simon Fraser University. For nearly nine years, I served on the editorial board of Literary Mama, and was Editor-in-Chief for the last two.
My poetry and nonfiction have appeared in Canadian and international publications, including Poetry Pause (League of Canadian Poets); Exploring Voice: Italian Canadian Female Writers; Sweet Lemons 2: International Writings with a Sicilian Accent; Descant; Panoram Italia; Literary Mama; and PoetryReviews.ca. Between O and V, my poetry chapbook, was published by Friday Circle in 2008.
I have edited fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, as well as corporate pieces on architecture and design using Canadian, British, Australian, and American English, approaching each assignment with dedication, enthusiasm, and energy. I love working with writers at all stages of their careers, as long as they are open to feedback and growth.
